- That is combined chlorine (chloramines) left behind by swimmers, not a strong sanitizer level. Guests read it as too much chlorine, and it stings eyes just as a real overdose would.
- Bubbles keep coming out of the return jets
- Air in the returns means a suction leak or a low water level. It looks careless in photos, and it means the filter is not moving a full turnover before your event.

Clarifier clumps fine particles so the filter can catch them. If the filter is already loaded it catches nothing, and the clumps stay in the water looking worse than before.
Topping the pool up an hour before guests arrive
Fresh hard fill water drops the chlorine level and shifts pH right when you need both steady. Fill the pool two days out so the chemistry has time to settle down.
